Dr. Akhila S is a highly accomplished academician and researcher with a distinguished career in the pharmaceutical and education sectors. She is graduated from The Tamilnadu DR MGR medical university and post graduated In Pharmacognosy discipline from Mahatma Gandhi University in 2008 bagging First Rank. She holds a Ph.D. focused on the phytochemical and pharmacological screening of traditionally used plants for antidiabetic activity. Dr. Akhila has more than 16 years of teaching experience and presently working as Professor & HOD in the department of Pharmacognosy in Sree Gokulam SNGM College of Pharmacy. She is a member of PG Board of Studies in Kerala University of Health Sciences. She is an approved Ph.D. guide, external examiner, and chairperson for university examinations at Kerala University of Health Sciences and in other universities. She has supervised PHD students, PG students and UG students in the Pharmacy Discipline. Her research interests include phytochemical and pharmacological screening of herbal drugs, development and evaluation of herbal formulations, and molecular docking studies on bioactive plant constituents. Dr. Akhila has authored two textbooks and a book chapter, and her work has been published in over 20 international journals. She is a life member of several professional associations, including the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India. Dr. Akhila has received multiple research grants and has been recognized for her contributions to pharmacy education and community service. Dr. Akhila S is dedicated to advancing pharmaceutical sciences and mentoring the next generation of pharmacy professionals.
