The medium of instruction at the college is English, and both boys and girls receive education here. The minimum qualification required for the D.Pharm course is specified by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.
The D.Pharm course spans two years and follows a syllabus set by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. Examinations are conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Kerala, at the end of each academic year.
To be eligible for admission, candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Kerala state with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as optional subjects. Alternatively, qualifications approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent are also accepted. The VHSC of Kerala from the 1994-1995 sessions with Group A (NCERT syllabus in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths) or Group B (NCERT syllabus in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) are considered equivalent examinations for admission to the D.Pharm course.

Examinations consist of final board exams at the end of each academic year. Passing requires a minimum of 40% marks separately in both theory and practical components of each subject. Internal assessment exams, contributing 20 marks per subject, are conducted by the college and included in the final examination marks. Attendance of at least 75% in theory and practical classes is mandatory for appearing in the examinations.
Admission to the D.Pharm course is for an intake of 60 students, with 50% admitted based on government merit and the remaining 50% by management selection. Application forms are available in the college office during working days, and completed forms with necessary documents must be submitted by the specified deadline. Incomplete or incorrect applications will not be considered. An entrance test may be conducted if deemed necessary.
Candidates provisionally selected for admission must attend an interview with the principal, accompanied by a parent/guardian, on scheduled dates. Original certificates and documents, along with attested copies and four passport size photographs, must be presented during the interview.
Admission implies acceptance of the current and future rules and regulations set by the college and educational authorities. Any breach of these rules or disturbance of campus peace may result in suspension or dismissal of the student without refund of fees or charges paid to the college
