Welcome to Sree Gokulam SNGM College Of Pharmacy  

Sree Gokulam SNGM College Of Pharmacy is one of the pioneer institutions under the unit of Sree Gokulam Group of institutions and SNGM Educational & Cultural Trust, Thuravoor. The college was started in the year 2004 with an intake of 60 students. The college is approved by PCI and affiliated to Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Government of Kerala. The campus possesses lecture halls, libraries, auditorium, well-equipped practical labs and many more

Sree Narayana Guru Memorial Pharmacy College started in the year 2004 was approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, and the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Government of Kerala.

To be a centre of excellence in Pharmacy education and to frame excellent pharmacist for the future through effective, safe and well advised use of medicine by continuous monitoring of the patient through pharmaceutical care, to ensure 100% quality pharmacy education to the students for healthy tomorrow.

The mission

We prepare students to provide compassionate pharmacist-delivered patient care and inspire our students through innovative problem-based learning, rich experiential curricula, and inter-professional collaboration. Research in the pharmaceutical, social and clinical sciences and its translation into health care is a key component of our mission. The students admitted will be given a high standard of education by a team of highly qualified and dedicated staff to assure better pharmacy education.

As per the directives from the Central & state Governments as well as PCI, measures have been taken to prevent ragging. Accordingly Anti-Ragging committee and Anti- Ragging squad are formed with following members

Anti – Discrimination Cell

  1. This cell will look after the related matters (if any) of depriving a student/staff or group of students on the basis of caste, creed, language, ethnicity, gender, different ability.
  2. This cell always try to uphold the dignity of the institution by addressing the concerns (if any)brought into the notice related to equality in offering or receiving education inside the campus.
  3. This cell ensures conductive environment for academic growth of the people belonging to our campus.
  4. This cell protects the rights of individuals without any prejudice to their appearance or lifestyle in the process of learning inside the campus.
  5.  The cell shall eliminate discrimination against or harassment of any individual in all forms by prohibiting it and by providing preventive and protective measures to facilitate its eradication and punishments for those who indulge in any form of discrimination or harassment.

Career Guidance Cell

Career Guidance and counseling programmes in SNGM Pharmacy College aim to provide assistance and advice to students to make them more powerful for their own future. It helps the students to realize their strength and weakness by instilling self awareness, decision making skills, planning skills, personality development etc.

Objectives:

  1. Help students to share knowledge about themselves by identifying skills and interests.
  2. To provide information about further course pre-requisites, financial aid, academic planning, entrance examinations etc.
  3. To promote career guidance and counseling through lectures by senior corporate executives and visiting professors.
  4. To organize seminars on interview skills , personality development, communication skills, leadership skills, resume writing, analytical skills, quantitative ability, verbal and reasoning skills essential to all competitive exams.

Gender Sensitization Cell

The institution is well prepared to handle and respond to gender sensitive issues and provide an environment where men and women can work together with a sense of personal security and dignity. For this purpose the institute has setup gender sensitization cell in June 2018. The cell engrosses the awareness about gender issues and working towards and creating an enabling environment of gender justice.

 Main objective of Gender Sensitization cell are:

  • To make the young boy’s and girl’s gender sensitive and create positive values that supports the girls and their rights.
  • To provide overall guidance to the peer group in integrating/mainstreaming gender in all activities of the Institution in the form of focused group discussions, debates, poster making competitions etc.
  • To provide an integrated and interdisciplinary approach to understand the social and cultural constructions of gender that shapes the experiences of women and men in society.
  • To generate the awareness in regard to equality in law, social system and democratic activities.

As per the instructions a Special Cell in our institution to deal with the issues of gender based violence and to conduct gender sensitization programme.
